# Governance

## Soul Token

The OADA system is governed by the ODAO, via the use of a Soul Token that can upgrade it in any way necessary.

This Soul Token is currently held in a multi-signature wallet managed by members of Optim Labs and prominent, trusted community contributors to the Optim DAO. The intention is to eventually transfer this governance control to a fully decentralized system once a suitable solution is developed for the protocol's needs.
