# Flow of Funds

The flow of a user's funds within the OADA system can be described generally as follows:

1. Users [mint](https://app.optim.finance/oada/mint-stake-earn#mint) OADA with ADA
2. OADA holders can either use OADA in DeFi, or they can [stake](https://app.optim.finance/oada/mint-stake-earn#stake) it for sOADA
3. Over time, sOADA accumulates yield generated by the system's [AMOs](https://optim-finance.gitbook.io/optim-finance/oada/amos)
4. Eventually when users want to exit their sOADA position, they will [unstake](https://app.optim.finance/oada/mint-stake-earn#unstake) their sOADA to receive OADA again. The conversion rate of sOADA back to OADA will reflect the yield generated by the system (i.e. their sOADA will be worth more OADA unless the system has taken a loss)
5. Users exit their OADA position by [swapping](https://app.splash.trade/ADA-OADA) back to ADA on the Splash Stableswap
